My name is Eugene. I was born in Tanzania and grew up there for the majority of my childhood prior to my family’s move to the United States. I currently have an MBA in IT management.
Because of where I grew up, I’m very passionate about protection from mosquitoes. Malaria is far more common in Tanzania than the United States. While I was growing up, I suffered the disease multiple times. I also saw other people die due to its horrible effects.
Since coming to live in the United States, I have looked for opportunities to make a difference. My career in technology is what brought me here. I have the ability to build and maintain websites full of important information. I’ve decided to use my IT background to spread information about mosquitoes and the diseases they carry.
The articles I write have been carefully researched. I have also drawn from personal experiences. There are a number of sources I use to ensure the information is accurate. In addition, the articles are periodically reviewed by an entomologist to ensure accuracy.
I use the same basic sources that professional entomologists use for their research. These sources have been written by entomologists and researchers with hands-on experience in the field. Some facts are common knowledge and have been proven conclusively by multiple studies. Other information is more highly specialized or debated. I keep up-to-date on scientific papers and new scientific discoveries about mosquitoes.
Information about diseases comes from medical professionals. I draw on articles written by medical researchers about their research. Medical professionals dedicate their careers to understanding the human body, disease, and medical treatment. Some specialize in the diseases mosquitoes carry. Others specialize in understanding how insect-to-human infections work.
